美國一款名為「萊特郡雞蛋」（Wright County Egg）疑似感染沙門氏菌，讓美國蛋商大規模回收3.8億顆可能受沙門氏菌污染的雞蛋，至今已經有數百人不適就醫，回收規模恐將繼續擴大。
美國衛生單位表示，除了萊特郡雞蛋外，還有13個牌子的雞蛋涉列其中，包括：Lucerne、 Albertson、 Mountain Dairy、 Ralph's、 Boomsma's、Sunshine、Hillandale、Trafficanda、Farm Fresh、Shoreland、Lund、 Dutch Farms和Kemps。
對此，美國食物與藥品管理局調查後發現，這次大規模雞蛋感染沙門氏菌，與該蛋商出品的萊特郡雞蛋有直接關係。
